Neo-Gothic Turret
|
|
When the Villa was sold by the Rothschild to Prince Diego in 1867, the garden was probably still in its original condition. It was the Pignatelli family who added small architectural features such as the Neo-Gothic Turret, the Swiss Chalet and the Greenhouse that, in accordance with mid-Nineteenth Century taste which favoured historical revival, were placed among the plants in the garden.
